Why Not Wurdsmith?

Welcome to the Twenty-first Century

The advent of digital publishing has completely and forever changed the publishing industry. No longer does an author have to send their work to a limited number of print publishers, one at a time, hoping that somebody will appreciate their work.

The Pulitzer Prize winning novel, a Confederacy of Dunces, was rejected by dozens of print publishers. After the author, John Kennedy Toole, took his own life, his mother continued to send his manuscript out for a decade. Finally, somebody who could appreciate his genius saw the book for what it was and published it.

Now, anybody can get their novel or novella published digitally. And therein lies the problem. Not every novel or novella is worth publishing. Some just need some serious editing work. Some are simply bad.
